About Party Benefit & Jam

PB&J는 2005년 2월에 시작된 비영리 자선 행사단체로서, ‘국내외의 비영리 단체들을 위한 기금 조성’을 목적으로 설립되었습니다. 본 단체는 2005년 2월부터 현재까지, 다양한 예술, 음악, dj 자선행사를 성공적으로 개최하였으며, 저희와 함께한 비영리 단체들은 다음과 같습니다. ( PB&J에대한 기사)

쓰나미 자선기금 마련, 한국 입양인 연대, 버마 행동, 이주노동자TV, 애란원 미혼모 생활시설, 허리케인 카트리나 구호단체, 아티스트 프로젝트 오케이북, 10월 남아시아 지진 생존자를 돕는 Medecins Sans Frontiers, 동두천에 있는 Amerasian Christian Academy, 녹색연합, 남양주이주노동자여성센터, 중증장애인독립생활연대 서울여성영화제, 탁틴성교육센터, 한국성적소수자문화인권센터, Together Against Malaria, 서울프린지페시트벌, 인도네이시아 지진 피해자 구호단체, 수단 Darfur지역 여성단체, 대추리 농민 등 등.

선뜻 시간을 내주시는 여러 아티스트와 디제이들, 그리고 기쁜 마음으로 자선을 행하시는 참가자 모든 분들과 항상 함께 할 수 있는 것을 영광으로 생각합니다. 앞으로도 계속해서 국내외 커뮤니티들을 하나로 묶고, 국내외 아티스트, 뮤지션 그리고 디제이들을 새로운 관객에게 소개할 수 있기를 희망합니다.

Started in February 2005 as a nonprofit volunteer collective to raise money for and promote awareness of local and international non-profit organizations, PBJ hosts monthly arts, music and dj benefits. (Media Coverage in The Korea Times)

Over the past two years, we’ve supported the following diverse non-profits in chronological order: CARE for Tsunami Relief, Adoptee Solidarity Korea, Burma Action, Migrant Worker TV, Ae-ran-won Single Mother·s Home, organizations working on Hurricane Katrina relief, artist project OKAYBOOK, Medecins San Frontiers for their work with survivors of the October South Asia Earthquake, Amerasian Christian Academy in Dongducheon, Green Korea United, the Namyangju Women’s Center for Migrant Workers, the Institute of the Disabled for Independent Living, the Women’ Film Festival in Seoul, Tacteen Center for sex education programs for youth, Sexual Minorities Culture and Rights Center, Together Against Malaria, the Seoul Fringe Festival, Love Jogja Indonesia to build homes for earthquake survivors, and MADRE for the refugees in the Darfur region of the Sudan, and the farmers of Daechuri.

We are honored to have the support of so many talented artists and DJs who donate their time and so many generous folks who come out to have a good time while benefiting a good cause. We hope to bring together the local and international communities, and expose local and international artists, musicians and DJs to new audiences.
